The team of researchers at Staffordshire University conducted an experiment with the technology of “jury transportation”, making their virtual transfer to the conventional crime scene. As Dr. Caroline Stardie Coles stated, this is the first such project in the world.

The idea has already received a grant from the European Commission for Scientific Research of 150,000 pounds. Green screens, the newest virtual reality headsets and other technologies of the gaming and computer industries are widely used in the project.

During the project, scientists tested the laser scanning of the crime scene using drones. So in one of the options, wearing a helmet virtual reality , you can bypass the location and consider many additional details. By the way, the cost of the headset is quite affordable, so that it could be acquired by the judiciary – only £ 700.

Not without skeptics, who are quite satisfied with the existing level of technical equipment of English ships. Nevertheless, the onset of modern technologies can not be stopped. According to the press secretary of the Ministry of Justice of Great Britain, the achievements of new technologies will allow to avoid unnecessary hearings, reduce the expenses of plaintiffs and, thus, make justice more accessible.
